I Am Living in Prayers I Once Prayed

Today, I want to share a little piece of my journal with you.
Thank You, Lord, for this time.
A time of peace. A time of calm. A time of stillness.
Sometimes we need those quiet moments with God. Moments where we can slow down, breathe, reflect, and simply say, “Thank You, Lord.”
Thank You for all that You have done. Thank You for all that You are doing. And thank You for everything You are preparing to do.
Today, You reminded me to keep seeking, and I shall find. To keep knocking, and the door will be opened. To keep asking, and I shall receive.
“Seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you; ask, and it will be given to you.” Matthew 7:7
And as I sat with that, I started thinking about something we don’t always do enough…
Reflect.
So many times, we have prayed prayers, and then when those prayers are answered, we forget that we prayed them.
We forget to look back.
We forget to remember where we were, what we were asking God for, what we were believing Him for, and how He brought us through.
Sometimes we can become so focused on our current circumstances that we forget that God is the One who brought us to where we are. The situation may look different now. The season may have changed. We may have new things that try to worry us, new things to figure out, and new prayers we’re waiting for answers on.
But take a moment to pause, and look back.
If God brought you through before, why wouldn’t you trust Him to do it again? Your past is evidence of His faithfulness. Not evidence that everything will happen exactly the way you expect or exactly when you want it to but evidence that you can trust the God who has already carried you this far.
I am living in prayers I once prayed. Repeat That!
And that realization gives me peace about the prayers I’m praying today.
So, Lord, I am excited. I am in expectancy of what You are going to do in this next season of my life. I’m excited to see what You have prepared, and I’m excited to see what You would have me do next. I don’t have to understand everything.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
I just have to keep my focus on Him and trust His promises.
Because when I look back, I can see His hand.
And when I look around, I can see His blessings.
And when I look ahead, I can have hope.
So where are you right now?
Think about it.
Think about the prayers you prayed years ago.
Think about the things you once asked God for that are now part of your life.
Think about the doors He opened.
The situations He brought you through. The strength He gave you. The things you thought would never change that somehow did.
Take a moment to remember.
And then think about the prayers you’re praying right now.
The things you’re waiting on. The things you’re believing for. The things you haven’t seen happen yet. Don’t allow your current circumstance to make you forget God’s past faithfulness.
Keep seeking.
Keep asking.
Keep knocking.
Keep trusting.
And remember the promise:
“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.” Deuteronomy 28:6
Wherever you go and whatever you do, remember that your blessing isn’t simply found in your circumstances. It comes from the God who walks with you through every season.
So today, I’m choosing peace.
I’m choosing stillness.
I’m choosing gratitude.
I’m choosing expectancy.
And I’m choosing to trust God with what comes next.
Because I am living in prayers I once prayed.
And if He did it before, I can trust Him again.

Thanks for sharing this in Jesus name. This really is what was needed at the righteous time of Abba in Jesus name. The sovereignty and faithfulness of the Lord always surpasses all circumstances; we must not focus on the storm but on Jesus; for He is the One who has come to seek and safe all who are lost; declares the word in Jesus name. Whatever was meant to demise us; the Lord uses to arise us in Jesus name. I will exit with this verse; you meant it for evil against me, but God meant it for good. Genesis 50but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are…
